We gather in the name of Earth to touch what is IN THE SOIL using one of the oldest methods of dyeing that can be found in different forms all throughout the world’s history: combining mineral pigments with a glutenous substance and applying it to fabric.

After getting to know the pigments through knowledge and intuition, we will unwind and get into our physical bodies with free movement for Every Body and All Abilities. With our beingness fully relaxed, we will release ourselves to our inner knowing and investigate mark-making with a variety of tools, found objects, brushes or even your hands using your choice of a prepared solution of mineral Earth pigments and soy or an immersion method.

Bring your own fabrics or objects to upcycle, or use the artist’s fabrics, and be sure to wear clothing that you don’t mind getting active and creative in. To close, we’ll share our experiences and insights with each other.
